Cookie Policy

The Service uses only technical cookies, necessary for the proper operation of the site.

The User may at any time manage cookies through the settings of their web browser.

ct_session_id

Analytics

An anonymous first-party session identifier we use to measure engagement — how long you spend on a page and which pages you view. It is written only after you consent to analytics cookies.

Stored for up to 30 days (may persist longer if you install CamperTrader as an app). · CamperTrader (first-party)

The engagement data recorded under this identifier (pages viewed and time spent on each page) is stored on our servers for up to 14 months, after which it is permanently deleted.

sid

Analytics

A pseudonymous HttpOnly cookie that groups events into the current analytics session. We set and refresh it only after you consent to analytics and while your browser sends neither GPC nor DNT.

Expires 30 minutes after the last permitted analytics activity. · CamperTrader (first-party)

vid

Analytics

A pseudonymous HttpOnly cookie used in full analytics mode to recognize a returning browser. We set and refresh it only after you consent to analytics and without active GPC/DNT. Fully anonymous mode does not set it and deletes an existing cookie.

Expires 365 days after the last permitted analytics response. · CamperTrader (first-party)

The ct_session_id, sid, and vid cookies are optional: we set them only after analytics consent and never while GPC or DNT is active.

Revealed phone numbers

When you tap “Show phone number” on a listing, we store the revealed number in your browser's local storage so you don't have to reveal it again after a reload. It is scoped to your account, never shared, and removed when you log out.

Kept for up to 24 hours, then cleared automatically.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track (DNT): if your browser sends either signal, analytics stays off — even if you opted in earlier — for as long as that signal remains active.

First-party analytics

We run our own analytics on CamperTrader servers to understand how the service works and where we can improve it.

What we collect

We record the event code, page path, referrer domain, UTM parameters, device type, and language. We use pseudonymous session and visitor identifiers stored in the sid and vid cookies and, after you sign in, your account identifier.

What we do not collect

Analytics events do not contain message content, payment data, or full IP addresses.

Why we do this

The data helps us improve the product and detect abuse. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

How long we keep the data

We keep analytics events for 2 years (730 days) and then permanently delete them.

Who we share the data with

No one. The data stays on our infrastructure and is not sent to external analytics providers. Unlike Google Analytics, we do not give an advertising company your history of using the service.

Fully anonymous mode

The service can run in a fully anonymous analytics mode. In this mode, we store only a pseudonymous session identifier, without a visitor or account identifier.

Your rights

You have the right to access and delete your data and to object to its processing. You can delete your account and related data in account settings. To request access or object, contact us through the contact form.

Shopping assistant and your data

When you send a message, we process what you write and the conversation and search context needed to answer and find offers. We send this information to OpenAI through its API. Processing by the provider is also subject to the rules in OpenAI’s API data information. The 30-day period below applies to history in our application.

We retain messages in the application history for at most 30 days from creation. Responses and related context may expire earlier when they depend on older messages. Sending a new message or rating a response does not extend the retention of older content.

Separately, eligible fragments may be retained for quality analysis only after human review and redaction of identifying information. Sensitive content and content concerning children are excluded by default. These reviewed fragments are kept for up to 24 calendar months from the earliest source interaction they represent; review or later use does not restart this period.

On our own servers, we also analyse redacted data about needs, filters, recommendations, errors and reactions to improve the assistant. We keep this data for up to 24 calendar months from the source interaction. This is separate from sending the context needed to generate an answer to the model provider.

You can use “Delete conversation” in the chat. For questions about processing or requests concerning your data, use our contact form.
